 Active Health Massage Therapy and Fitness is located at 174 Dean St. in Taunton, Massachusetts. We are in the two-story grey office building on Rte 104, just off of Rte 44, on the second floor, with  lift service available for those who need assistance to our offices.

We have three treatment rooms as well as an open training area with a treadmill, free weights, kettlebells, therabands, stability balls and floor mats.  We offer deep tissue, sports, hot stone, and relaxation (Swedish) massage as well as Reiki and personal training. David Silvia graduated from the Salter School in Fall River, MA in 2006.  He is nationally certified by the NCBTM since 2006 and is a Level III Reiki Practitioner since 1998, and has been a nationally ranked Olympic Recurve Archer. Since 2005, As a member of the Ultimate Sports Massage Team, an independent group of Professional Massage Therapists, he has volunteered at the Marine Corps Marathon, in Washington, DC, the Boston Marathon, the RI Marathon, the Amica Ironman Triathalon, the Rev3 Triathlon, CT., the Run for the Warriors, Camp LeJuene, NC. as well as local % and 10K road races. Recently, he and the Massage Team, were selected to work with Team Semper Fi and the Wounded Warriors organizations at the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon, a very rewarding experience. He has also worked at the Newport Volleyball Club weekly beach tournaments in Newport, RI, as tournament therapist. Specializing in Sport, Deep Tissue and Therapeutic Massage he looks forward to helping active people maintain and enjoy their lifestyles. As a recent update, Jan/2010, David has completed a two week volunteer rotation working at the U S Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA., and in Oct/2010,  was selected to work at future events sponsored by the Olympic Commitee.

Christine King is a MA Licensed Massage Therapist,#9287, She graduated from The Salter School in Fall River,MA., completing a 900 hour program. She specializes in Swedish and Relaxation Massage with focus on specific work such as Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Seated techiques. She has a more holistic approach with focus on rehab and recovery of muscular tension, and/or injury through soft tissue manipulation. A member of AMTA, and certified in First Aid and CPR, she also is an active participant in community volunteer work, such as The Cape Cod Cycling MS Getaway, Ride The Vineyard Cycling Event for MS, along with other MS events. Her desire to become a Massage Therapist, comes from helping her brothers and through her extensive experience in the Human Services field, in both the mental and physical well being of her clients, which has led to her 'feel the difference attitude'.

Lori Noel graduated in 1994 from the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA and has been offering and teaching massage ever since.  She became Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 1993.  Lori is a certified spa specialist as well as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor.  She received her first Personal Training certificate in 1997 and became a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer in 2007.  Lori is also a Certified RAD instructor (women's self-defense).  In 1994 and 1995, Lori served as the Massage Therapist for Rob Kish during two of his three winning Race Across AMerica tours.  Lori specializes in deep tissue massage, spa modalities, and women's fitness and self-defense.  She has completed four marathons, ridden multiple century rides, and is a student of the martial arts.

Kevin Gifford  is a Massachusetts Licensed Massage Therapist. He graduated with honors from a 900 hour Massage Therapy Program at The Salter School in Fall River, MA.  Trained in Swedish Massage, Kevin offers sessions aimed at stress reduction and relaxation or therapeutic treatments focused on specific issues of the musculature resulting from injury, overuse, or stress.  Kevin has worked with the Ultimate Sports Massage Team at the Amica Ironman Triathalon in Providence, RI and has volunteered massage services at local athletic events, and community fundraisers including National Multiple Sclerosis Society sponsored Ride The Vineyard and Cape Cod Getaway cycling events.  Kevin is a creative, spiritually aware believer that wellness requires an integrative focus on body, mind, and spirit.  He is a Reiki Level I practitioner and has studied Asian theories and therapies and has completed a course of study in Touch for Health - a practical approach to natural health through accupressure, touch, and massage.

Lisa Hargis  graduated as a Student Ambassador from The Salter School in Fall River, MA in 2009. She is a Massachusetts Licensed Massage Therapist and a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has volunteered offering massage to athletes at several local sporting events.  She has also worked with the elderly population and people with  disabilities including parkinsons disease, machados disease, cancer, AIDSs, mental illnesses, and the visually impaired.  She has 20 plus years in customer service, and her black belt in Judo  She was a volunteer coach and instructor for Judo at the Fall River YMCA for over 14 years. She believes Judo taught her patience, confidence, family values and genuine concern for a persons' well-being. Lisa believes in the total mind, body and spirit approach to massage, and is also REIKI  I certified.
